Southern Girl Recipes

Did you know that I have a recipe blog? It is still a work in progress but I thought I would go ahead and share it. Please let me know if you ever try the recipes. Some of them are my own, some are recipes I have borrowed from others and added my own twist.
Enjoy!

Happy Fall!

Jay and I visited Aldridge Gardens on this beautiful fall day. We got to see the neat scarecrows created by local groups. We had the best time! (Sorry the pictures are all out of order!)

A view from the lake trail. Perfect walking through nature weather.

The pretty little waterfall near the house.

Gorgeous landscaping

Cat and Dog scarecrows, Jay didn't like these.

This one was created by the Riverchase Methodist MOPS group. It is a lot cuter in person.

This was one of my favorites. It is Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Another favorite created by Petals from the Past. They made their scarecrow a farming crow!

When we were walking around the lake we saw these turtles. There were 5 on the long but the girls ahead of us scared two of them away.

Giant bee that goes with the bee keeper scarecrow. (Once again, out of order...sorry!)

There were butterflies everywhere! So pretty!

Arg! Jay and I got a kick out of these.

The first time we passed these ducks they were so still and quiet. The whole time we were walking around the lake we could hear them quacking.

One of my favorites! Cinderella and her pumpkin.

My love!

Jay liked this one. It is an football player and spider made of iron. It was really cool!

This was another neat one. It was a wooden scarecrow building another wooden scarecrow.

Scarecrow of the future? It was a metal scarecrow with the caption, "Scaring crows? I have an app for that!"

Here is the beekeeper scarecrow with the giant bee. I really like the bee but found the scarecrow to be a little creepy.

If you get a chance, be sure to visit Aldridge Gardens. It is a beautiful place!
